Palm trees need abundant sunlight to grow and flourish. While they can survive indoors temporarily, prolonged indoor conditions often leave them weakened, undernourished, and vulnerable to disease, especially by the end of winter.

Place your palms in full sun or partial shade, as they handle both well. Water when the top inch of soil begins to dry, and make sure the pot drains properly so the roots never sit in standing water. The soil is pre‑fertilized, so no additional fertilizer is needed.

Trim and prune browning, dying, fronds and leaves as necessary. When pruning tips, be sure to maintain the shape of the frond while looking for new growth in the center.
